He was known for the bold experiments throughout his career and gave amazing works. Like another artist, he holds legendry imagination & innovation in his field. He struggled a lot in his career and made a place in the art world for his name to be remembered as a brand.   Looking master oil paintings of this artist? contact us for  commission artwork  and paintings

 Childhood of Annibale Carracci

Annibale Carracci was born and raised in Bologna, which is Augusto Righi now. He had a brother named Agostino Carracci, who he loved a lot. The Bologna region was also in the grips of an economic crisis, and they both grew up in that situation.

He didn't have any artistic background. His father, Antonio was a tailor while his uncle worked as a butcher. Due to lack of money, Annibale Carracci attends school until 11, but he had unlimited talents.

In his earlier days, one day, Annibale Carracci was going with his father to Cremona to sell a small plot, but in the mid of the road, his father got robbed. They both arrived at the police station for the report. When police asked about the robbers, the little Annibale Carracci drew a clear portrait of robbers with so much speed and accuracy, making it easy to catch the robber. His skills amazed everyone, and slowly people started recognizing him.

 Early Training and Work

Annibale started his working career as a goldsmith, but soon the local people noticed his works and prominent art. Annibale Carracci and Agostino started their career as an engraver at the age of 21. As per the reports, the Crucifixion was the first masterpiece in which he constructed realistic figures by showing his rebellious spirit.

But it was difficult for Annibale to place himself among the popular artists. Though he faced many criticisms from people, he learned by deeply observing the paintings and got influenced by multiple painters like Pellegrino Tibaldi and Antonio da Correggio to do better and started improving himself. He had a trip to Parma and reunited with his brother, where they both worked and studied the works of Tintoretto. The Carracci taught proportion, life study, perspective, anatomy, and architecture. The Carracci had asked to collaborate for creating the Palazzo Fava as commission work. Well, both brothers had to work hard to reach their goals and earn better.

 Mature Period

Over the years, Carracci adopted many new styles of contemporary and modern art in a naturalistic way. He started the idea of creating "Invenzione", which was considered a progressive practice. He joined the academy, where he participates in multiple projects works. Another creative practice the academy organized is attempting to paint a drawing without lifting the pen.

He learned all the science of art and painting very carefully, but soon got compared with his brother. He was the painter who knows how to talk with your hands and felt so bored with the artistic style of Agostino's. Soon he received a commissioned work for a collaborative project for the main Salone at Palazzo Magnani, which showed how consistent he was for his art.

From 1591 to 1592, he also worked on the Palazzo Sampieri, his last collaborative project. He achieved enough appreciation and success, and then they both started exploring the art individually. Later they become rivals of each other which started getting evident in the workshops. In 1594, Carracci had gathered a considerable amount of appreciation and earned a reputation that he wanted ever since.

Shortly he caught the attention of one Cardinal Farnese, who wanted to execute a new talent in their team. In 1597, the brothers collaborated on small projects, but they still argued on many things. Some of his famous artworks are Christ appearing to Saint Peter on the Appian WaySilenus gathering Grapes, The Dead Christ Mourned ('The Three Maries'), and The Holy Family with the Infant Saint John the Baptist with many more!

 Late Period of Annibale Carracci

Later, Annibale Carracci was engaged in a contract and earned a stipend of 10 scudi per month. The artist worked over the years and set the landmark in the history of Italian art with his undeniable talents, making him popular across the world and started gaining respect and appreciation from the visitors.

Later he had many burdens for making decorative stuff. In the year 1601 cardinal delivered a huge humiliation upon the Annibale Carracci. Shortly after this incident, Carracci suffered a stroke and many issues other health issues. Still, he managed a lot of works with the help of an apprentice.

Finally, he died in the year 1609 age of 49, uttering the golden words- "This time, the working clocks are broke." He was buried with great respect. As per his last wish, his body was buried next to his idol Raphael. He is counted as the father of the Baroque period. He gave so many things to the nation and continued work till his last breath.

His achievements and works gave light to the younger generation to learn and take inspiration. He never felt sad because of the money crisis, but he tried hard to achieve his dreams by being dedicated to art, setting an example of to live life regardless of numerous problems you face.
